The role:

 

  • The role is an internal research and consulting role working with stakeholders across the business helping them understand the value of qualitative user research and working with them to define and plan the research
  • You'll own and lead qualitative research activities and workshops through the complete lifecycle from experiment design, planning and setup to fieldwork, analysis & reporting
  • You will plan and conduct scoping, insight, co-creation and debrief workshops with stakeholders
  • You will work with Product Owners, UX Designers, UI Designers and other researchers to ensure digital product features support our users
  • You will liaise with the Head of Insight and Online Analysts to complement qualitative research data with any relevant quant and web analytics data
  • You will liaise with and manage multiple stakeholders from across Arcadia Group incorporating business needs into design recommendations
  • You will be continually building a full picture of user behaviour across the entire end-to end shopping journey
  • You'll contribute to a user-centred design culture by communicating user needs to the wider company, facilitating and directing workshops, and continually challenging us all to think bigger and to act smaller

 

  • You have 4+ years of eCommerce UX research experience, ideally client-side. Experience across multiple sectors is a bonus
  • Ideally, you have a degree or MSc in HCI, Psychology, social sciences or a field directly related to UX research
  • You're experienced working with cross-functional agile product teams
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, are articulate and can make key points clearly and succinctly using a variety of communication methods (reports, presentations, workshops)
  • You are commercially aware with an entrepreneurial mind-set and "can do" attitude
  • You have robust qualitative research skills using a range of methodologies suited to the research objectives
  • You can design and manage research across all stages from planning and prep to analysis and reporting
  • You are highly self-organised, an analytical thinker, and can work autonomously with minimum supervision taking pride in attention to detail and the quality of your work
  • You have compassion and empathy with users and can elicit rich insight
  • You champion the end user within business and technical constraints
  • You can quickly distil and extrapolate key findings and the "so what's" of user behaviour and apply to business objectives
  • You can work with product teams to create actionable recommendations based on technical, time and budget constraints
  • You have a strong portfolio that includes UX-focused case studies across web and mobile apps
