The Role
A UX Designer in our global Product team drives potentially complex and new projects that can scale. Works in a team of accomplished UXers based in Barcelona and collaborates with over 100 UX designers across 15+ countries.

The mission of the Trust team is to provide best-in-class trust and reputation solutions which seamlessly integrate into the local marketplace sites and apps to help our millions of customers trade online successfully every day. To achieve that, we are looking for an evidence-driven UX designer to join the team. You will be empowered to design scalable components which will empower our marketplaces to integrate out-of-the-box solutions and focus their efforts to solve local specific user problems. As a UX designer for the Trust team, you will together with the Product Manager and the team, help determine the roadmap and deliveries of the global user-facing components that will enhance trust between buyers and sellers on our Marketplaces. Your work will include UX strategy and UI design for trust products like User Profile, Rating and Reviews etc.

We are looking for a UX designer who understands how to uncover global user problems, research and analyse the problem space to design solutions through an experimentation process together with our local marketplaces, continuously learning and getting constant feedback from our users.

Key Responsibilities

    • You will be the driving force of user research by identifying research needs on the team, planning, defining, conducting and reporting findings of all conducted research
    • You will partner with the Product Manager to validate and understand the Trust problem space and help to find the right solutions
    • You will oversee the validation process of solutions: user testing, designing experiments and planning for quick iterations of tests with engineers and data scientists
    • You will combine user data and research to create user flows, wireframes, information architecture and interface mockups
    • You will have an knowledge for translating and documenting design ideas into visuals that can be shared with all parts of the business and translating them into technical requirements that the engineers can work with
    • You will have an expert understanding of information architecture
    • You will create click-through and interactive prototypes for user testing at all stages of the user experience definition
    • The ability to synthesise user data and research into usable and relevant artefacts by combining quantitative & qualitative research to create recommendations for design and engineering

Requirements

    • You will partner with engineering, product and user research teams to design experiences that are technologically practical and meet the business and user needs
    • Understand how to work lean and adapt to the product development needs and peculiarities of a project of this nature
    • Can share analysis, experimentation, optimisation knowledge and expertise to promote a data and optimization oriented culture
    • Have an understanding of qualitative user research methodologies and how to run lean research to ensure user insights inform all stages of design
    • Strong understanding of usability and user experience principles
    • Passionate about product development and constantly looking for ways to improve it
    • Open-minded and enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills
