As a UX Designer at Ad Practitioners you’ll have the opportunity to work across our entire portfolio of brands from Money.com to ConsumersAdvocate.org. You delight consumers through illustrations, photography, typography, space, layout, and color, building experiences that are seamless, intuitive, modern and beautiful. From building interactive experiences to rethinking how we deliver the latest news, you are obsessed with finding new and creative ways to help people find the information they are looking for and, more importantly, helping them take action toward their financial goals. 

You are a “full-stack” designer with experience in brand creation, conversion optimization, A/B testing, as well as web and mobile design. You thrive in an environment that is collaborative, creative, and ever-changing. Responsibilities:

  • Create well thought out UI designs based on wireframes as well as written, and verbal descriptions
  • Create high-fidelity, user experience mock-ups
  • Work across departments to design experiences that are both good for users & optimized to achieve business objectives
  • Work with dev team to package mockups and prototypes for build, and test live version for accuracy and functionality
  • Design mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites will function and appear to the consumer
  • Organize process and people in order to align on our vision to create intuitive, modern, and delightful end-to-end user experiences
  • Work cross-departmentally to create website interactions that are both good for users & optimized to achieve conversion goals
  • Work with dev team to package mockups and prototypes for build, and test live version for accuracy and functionality
  • Create on-brand designs for marketing campaigns, ads, and other marketing initiatives
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Ensure that an end-product design meets the core business objectives, while providing users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement

Requirements

  • 3-5 years professional product design experience
  • Strong portfolio with examples of product and conversion design
  • Strong messaging skills—the ability to craft words, graphics, interfaces, and workflows to tell a great story, communicate an idea, and create a visceral experience for users
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Understanding of Google Analytics. Experience using other web analytics platforms is a plus
  • Required proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Required proficiency with Sketch
  • Desired experience includes HTML, CSS, and designing for Wordpress themes
  • Minimum BA or BS ideally in interaction design, Human Factors, Human
