Product Design Director

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer who wants to lead a growing design team and work alongside product-minded engineers to deliver amazing technology and experiences to our customers.

You will:

    • Lead the Product Design function at Rollbar while managing other designers
    • Create remarkable experiences for software engineers by turning product complexities into elegant UI/UX solutions
    • Work with engineers and product managers to ship frequent, pragmatic improvements to customers
    • Establish and implement style guides and creative direction for our product and brand
    • Design interaction flows, wireframes, mockups and assets
    • Participate in the creation of personas, user journey maps, information architecture models, wireframes, prototypes, visual design, conducting research interviews, and shadowing users

You have:

    • 5+ years experience creating and shaping new experiences that have impacted thousands of users
    • A portfolio of recent UX/UI work that demonstrates your ability to design elegant solutions to complex problems
    • Strong information design skills with a foundation in UX design processes
    • Solid graphic design skills (layout, typography, color)
    • A strong understanding of data presentation, discovery, drill-down, visualization

You are:

    • Excited to help developers build better software more easily
    • Extremely detail oriented
    • A highly effective communicator – both written and spoken
    • Comfortable creating sketches, storyboards and explaining product design concepts
    • Comfortable working with HTML, CSS, grid systems, responsive design and JavaScript

Bonus points:

    • You're a Rollbar user - knowing our product already gives you a huge edge!
    • Experience in start­up environments
    • Experience with products built for developers or business users
    • Ability to mock up designs in React components
