UX/UI Designer

Townhall Media is looking for an experienced UX/UI designer to work with us to optimize our sites and help us move them into the future. Applicants should have extensive UI/UX design experience on sites and/or mobile apps with strong visual design skills. Our team is looking for a candidate that is committed to seeing a project from the beginning to end, including research, prototyping and coding. We will be relying on this individual’s expertise to recommend improvements/strategies to help us enhance our sites as we move into the future.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledge of UI design tools such as Sketch or Figma
• Proficient with HTML/CSS
• Ability to mentor and teach team members
• Ability to focus and keep organized
• Great work ethic and attitude; team player
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong portfolio of design projects
• Wordpress knowledge a plus

Project Responsibilities

• Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with the development team and product manager.
• Illustrating design using wireframes, lo-fidelity mockups and high-fidelity mockups
• Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, buttons and widgets
• Designing typographic layouts and logos
• Prototyping site and app mockups using tools such as Marvel App or Figma
• Creation of responsive HTML email campaigns
• Optimizing the existing design of all website properties, including desktop and mobile
• Design of Apps
• A/B testing
