About us

States Title is a top 10 title and escrow provider, and through its family of companies - NATC & NATIC - is able to impact 90% of real estate transactions in the US. States Title transforms closings intelligently by applying machine intelligence to the age-old processes and procedures in the $25B Title and Settlement industry. We're making residential real estate simple and efficient, and allowing lenders to close more loans, faster, and at a lower cost. Currently used by national lenders, States Title is rapidly expanding coverage for their groundbreaking predictive title lender solution.

You are fired up to:

• Solve difficult systems problems with elegant and well-thought out user experiences and information architecture
• Impress everyone with your design software skills (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Principle, XD)
• Get to the nitty gritty with sketches, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, and specifications
• Exercise your deep understanding of product specifications and user psychology
• Continue evolving our design system
• Define user personas through research and data
• Design, run, and evaluate user tests
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to senior leadership, engineering, and product partners at every phase of product development
• Eloquently explain your design decisions
• Facilitate ideation sessions and workshops with internal teams
• Collaborate easily with many other players and stakeholders
• Utilize your knowledge of what is happening in the market by keeping up with competitor products and industry trends
• Keep up with the latest thinking on UX/UI and are ready to apply and test those ideas on your work.

You have:

• 4-10 years of relevant experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, or similar role
  • What's relevant? Any of the following:
    • Fintech: you've designed credit, money-management, real estate, or insurance products
    • Large and complex SaaS or consumer product platforms
    • Title: you’ve designed a customer-facing or escrow-officer-facing software system
  • An obsession with naming your layers
  • Tremendous visual design capabilities with the ability to tell a story
  • A systems-oriented way of thinking
  • Supreme problem-solving skills
  • Incredible organizational skills
  • An ability to simultaneously see the long-term vision and the immediate needs — knowing when to switch lenses and shift focus
  • NICE TO HAVES:
    • Knowledge of frontend web development: HTML/CSS/JavaScript
    • B.S. in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
    • Background in project management and research
    • Knowledge of the Title and Escrow industry
    • Experience in bridging the gap between current state technology and Machine Learning technology
