We need immediate, short-term help from an experienced freelance UX writer and it will be essential that you can demonstrate previous experience with writing UX copy for Apps and Web. The role can be remote, but ideally in the UK or US time zones.

About the assignment

Our goal is to be the number one recipe sharing platform in 100 countries by 2021. It’s an ambitious target which means we need to constantly adapt and enhance our service in response to feedback from our users. You will be part of the team developing Cookpad’s recipe sharing platform (app and website) and will be directly responsible for functional and technical writing throughout. You’ll also work with our Communications lead to help develop Cookpad’s tone of voice. We’re a fast-paced, highly ambitious team, meaning we need someone who can get up to speed very quickly and work well under pressure.

Key areas you will cover

• audit how we currently talk to our users;
• short-form writing all the way through to development of documentation;
• right voice for the right purpose - work with product teams to create engaging user interface copy
• produce app and web copy that that sounds like us and preempts what the user is thinking;
• oversee translations so that sentiment is not lost as we switch languages; and
• support us to prepare guidelines for the tone of voice.

• Outstanding UX copywriting skills

• Demonstrated experience with writing UX copy for Apps and Web
