Product Designer

*Job Description*
We are looking for a versatile product designer to join us. You will be joining the founding team and will be hands-on on tasks that across all business operations. As a designer, you have demonstrated the use of user-centered visual design principles to ship amazing interactive experiences… and you like to have fun with it!

*Experience and Education*
- 2-4 years of experience in a design-related field, with an accompanying portfolio
- Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, Game Design, or related design or behavioral science discipline
- Shipped at least 1 product experience
- Understanding and application of UX design and creation of UI art assets utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator in order to design aesthetically appealing and intuitive interfaces
- Use of a wireframing tool such as Balsamiq or Adobe XD. If not, then ability to create clear and logical mock-ups using paper and pencil.
- Basic understanding of 2D animation (advanced welcome, as well) using After Effects
- Some basic to intermediate use of the Unity game engine is a huge plus, including but not limited to: ability to prototype, navigate the project, export Unity asset bundles
- Ability to collaborate with multiple parts of the team, especially understanding the needs and limitations of the Engineering team. Basic knowledge of C# or Java helps.
- Clean design formatting skills so that your work is standardized and scalable

*Job Responsibilities*
- Be the voice of UX and product design for Thinker Tinker
- Provide creative inspiration and direction to other team members, ability to facilitate open communication between the team and its leads
- Put together and adhere to a style guide for the product, ensure that the rest of the team is following the guide
- Be receptive to QA efforts and critique and be open to revisions of your work often

*Knowledge*
- Amazing visual design skills
- Knowledge of basic game design or interactive design
- Up to date with current design trends across various platforms, from web to mobile
- Graphic design sensibility, understanding of visual design and art direction
- Willingness to learn in the areas that will further enhance and strengthen your relationship to the product
- Experience working in a startup environment with a focus on rapid iteration and being a part of a close-knit team. Desire to move quickly.
