We are a brand new EdTech startup backed by the British Council and Blenheim Chalcot, the UK's leading digital venture builder. Our core offering is a free mobile English test that will help millions of people to unlock the potential that the English language gives them. (By 2020, two billion people will be using or learning English. That’s one in four people around the world!)

We are a small and dynamic team excited to positively impact the lives of millions of people by disrupting the English language assessment industry.

Our team is mostly based in the UK, but we do not require you to be in the UK.  However, to ensure we can continue collaborating well, we need you to be within two time zones of the UK.

 

THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer with experience working on multiple consumer-facing mobile applications in an agile environment. You will have hands-on experience with refining your designs over time based on user behaviour and business needs, ideally using data to inform your design choices in an ecommerce application.

You’ll need to be able to show us your work, and display the skills you’d expect of any designer.  Layout design, visual hierarchy, use of colour and typography, working with and extending existing branding and style guidelines, and incorporating analytics and user feedback.

You’ve got enough experience to confidently communicate your solutions to native mobile and web developers. We don’t need you to code; we just need you to be comfortable working with those who do.

You will be experienced in the design and prototyping tools of the moment. We use Sketch and Zeplin, but as long as your tool of choice fits in with our workflow you’ll be free to design the way you prefer.
