Senior UX/UI Designer

You’ll be joining a highly experienced and fresh-minded tech-loving design team, directly contributing to the creative collaboration and reworking of Freelancer’s design space. You’ll have great creative vision and expertise in visual communication with UX, UI, Motion Design, Illustration and Branding.

The type of designer weʼre looking for:

• You are an award winning UX / UI designer and have a love for all things visual.

As part of your mix, you love people, problem solving and creating amazing product experiences.

• You love to own projects you are involved in and can work independently to take things all the way from concept to release.
• You love to collaborate and communicate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers and other Designers when needed. You are not afraid to put your ideas forward, but also respect others when the time comes.
• You love to prototype to help get your ideas across and refine and rework to get a working version out for live testing.
• You have a strong understanding of user workflows, HTML/CSS/Web Technologies so you can design things that can be built for humans.(We have a dedicated front-end team, so you will need to work with them to implement your ideas).

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the Art Director / Head of Design to ensure all UX / UX touch points are on brand and align with the company’s 2020 vision plan
• Create Sketch / InVision Prototypes to align with Product Managers briefs
• Prepare documents to map-out current and future product flows
• Conducting user research and testing
• Developing wireframes and task flows based on user requirements
• Create user stories, personas, and storyboards
• Mentor Designers on UX / UI Principles
• Determine information architecture and create sitemaps

• 6+ years in graphic design, advertising, media and digital product design
• Strong graphic/visual design background
• Attention to detail; master of typography, color theory and layout
• Creative problem solving skills and conceptual thinker
• Ability to work both within existing brand guidelines and on the development of new brands
• Understanding of information architecture, responsive web, native mobile design
• Experience wire-framing, user testing and using data to guide the design process
• Knowledge of web technologies/html/css (you do not need to be a developer though but need to understand how things will be built!)
• Expert knowledge of Sketch, Adobe Suite, Figma, Invision, Principle and similar tools
• Positive attitude, team player, and proactive contributor
• Ability to support, take direction and deliver
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A track record of producing effective and attractive digital solutions within a timeframe
• Collaborates efficiently in cross functional teams with other Designers, Product Managers, Data Scientists and Developers
• Amazing digital design portfolio showcasing all of the above, applications without a digital portfolio will not be considered
