UX Analyst & Designer

Do you have a passion for planning and creating software that people love to use? As a UX Analyst & Designer, you will use your experience with user-centered design methodologies and agile delivery to provide both highly analytical and highly creative ideas to enhance user experiences. You will interview stakeholders, facilitate groups, provide mockups and wireframes, and gather requirements to articulate process flows and user interactions while collaborating with the development team as your wireframes and prototypes assemble into a working product and awesome user experience.

What you'll do

  • Work with new clients to understand the importance of adopting UX principles.
  • Work with the clients to identify their needs and brainstorm potential solutions.
  • Gather requirements and implement them in design artifacts (e.g., wireframes, sitemaps, flowcharts, etc.).
  • Plan and conduct user research, synthesize and extract insights.
  • Lead collaborative design workshops with clients and stakeholders.
  • Create and direct UX design deliverables including, but not limited to, user personas, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
  • Be the end-user advocate during the development process, subject early designs to experiments or usability reviews, validate designs, and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Stay current on emerging design trends and broader technologies to identify opportunities to incorporate new design methods into existing processes and procedures.
  • Perform user research and use that research to drive your designs.
  • Create outstanding, creative designs that deliver results for our customers.
  • Utilize usability testing to validate and refine your design decisions.
  • Help new customers to understand the importance of adopting UX principles.
  • Work with the customer to identify their needs and brainstorm potential solutions.
What we'd like
  • Minimum 4 years’ UX design experience.
  • Experience with UX research techniques, including interviews, surveys, task/workflow analysis, focus group sessions, or diary studies.
  • Experience creating personas and journey/experience maps based on real user research.
  • Experience performing competitive analysis.
  • Experience creating low fidelity wireframes, prototypes, or storyboards, and facilitating workshops to review/refine them.
  • Experience with information architecture and content strategy based on user research.
  • Experience performing interaction design based on user research.
  • Experience with visual design based on user research.
  • Proficiency in industry standard design tools such as Sketch / Figma, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Lottie, Adobe After Effects, and/or other animation tools for software development.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment and related tools (e.g., Jira, VSTS, etc.).
  • Familiar with industry best practices in UX design, with the ability to perform heuristic evaluations of existing systems.
  • Experience facilitating usability testing sessions with real/potential system users.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience in consulting or using consultative approaches to engage stakeholders.
  • Must be able to share a representative portfolio of previous design work.
  • Ability to travel to client locations and collaborate with distributed delivery teams.
  • Graphic design experience considered an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent certifications and experience) in design, HCI, interaction design, information sciences, psychology, human factors, and/or computer science.
