Product Designer

Pickr

Here at Pickr we are revolutionising the way that large scale and critical infrastructure projects are resourced and planned – and we are at the forefront of bringing a technology solution to this challenge.

The UK is on a high-speed fibre connectivity journey, and by using our technology customers can ensure they have the right delivery teams, skills and mobility. Our products have much wider potential reach – including several green applications – and as we enter our next stage of growth we are looking for a number of key hires who can lead us to Series A and beyond.

We are a well-funded VC business, with global ambitions – so if you’d like to be part of something genuinely different then we’d love to hear from you.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our growing cross-functional product development team. Given our relatively early stage, you will tackle a wide range of problems at various different scopes - from initial ‘MVP’ of a feature, through to optimising existing ones.

As part of our product team, you will:

  • Support our Product Management function to understand what problems need to be solved to achieve product success
  • Conduct user research to deeply understand their context, and iteratively working through ideation, prototyping and testing to find a solution that works
  • Maintain and develop our visual environment, including the visual expression of our brand identity and consistency across platforms through (e.g.) component libraries
  • Help improve our DesignOps and overall product development process

What we offer:

We believe in getting the most out of our talent - ensuring that we have the best technology to work with, have an open and honest culture, great environment, flexible working and wellbeing at the heart of what we do. With a very attractive base salary, you can tailor your benefits package to suit your lifestyle.

We have offices in Norwich and London, and your time will be split between them and home - we're totally flexible based on where you live.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a well-rounded Product Designer whose natural inclination is to work across the product design lifecycle - from problem identification & definition through to post-launch monitoring and iterations.

We anticipate that you will have a strong background in UX and UI design, but which has grown to encompass different research techniques, and the ability to run an iterative test-and-learn approach.

As is typical for product development, the strongest candidates will be those that work hand-in-hand with the rest of the team, and support the entire product process to achieve our main product goals.
