UX Designer

As a UX Designer you are part of the User Experience Team within Ocado Technology and are responsible for producing leading user experience solutions for Ocado across all its channels, including web, mobile and internal systems. You’ll work collaboratively with other UX Designers, Product Owners and Developers; and are able to establish communications between teams across the business. You’ll have a passion for design & technology and keep up-to-date with the latest trends, sharing these with your fellow team members.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for producing world-class user experience solutions for the Retail Systems department. This can be anything from designing the Customer Care or Fraud application, to the payment flows that will be available to the end customer.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Interactive Media or Visual Communication Design or similar subject.
• Good spoken and written English
• Experience of information architecture, user centered design and user testing working on medium to large complex websites
• Expertise in prototyping and mockup tools to deliver UI wireframes, sitemaps, user journeys, data modelling and prototypes of varying fidelity.
• Extensive expertise in user experience design processes, techniques and methodologies.
• Expertise in implementing various user research and analysis techniques including; user’s research, personas and usage scenarios, user journeys.
• Solid experience in planning, conducting and documenting heuristics evaluations and user testing.
• Expertise in human interface guidelines, standards, and best practices as they apply to digital platforms.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst providing clients and colleagues with exceptional service at all times
• Be able to deal with uncertain, high level requirements and provide different solution to the team
• Solid portfolio that explains your way of working by providing few case studies and will demonstrate your visual and interaction design skills
• Friendly personality and good interpersonal skills.
