What you will do

Klarna’s Design team is an ambitious international team where results and attention to detail are taken seriously. We aim to build the best products in the world and we are excited to welcome new team members who share our ambition to be consistently amazing.

We’re organised into domains with a clear area of focus and different products and teams in them. You will work alongside other talented Design Leads in other domains across Klarna and close to our Design System team, to maintain, unify and evolve our design language, to provide a customer journey that is consistent across domains.

What you will do?

    • Your work will mostly revolve around the design of the user experience of our internal tools - to improve how we conduct our A/B tests and experiments.
    • Sketch out rough interactions and interfaces to help define new features and ideas.
    • Iterate on these ideas and build clickable prototypes that can be used for internal reviews and user tests.
    • Conduct user tests and research with internal stakeholders, get input and iterate on the designs and concepts you and the teamwork are working on.
    • Develop the final look and feel of these products.
    • Work closely with engineers throughout the implementation stage to ensure a high level of quality in the final product.
    • Help shape the design culture at Klarna that will ultimately define every interaction customers have with our products and services.

You should have

    • A strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and user experience (minimum 2 years of experience)
    • Experience designing high-quality interfaces and experiences
    • The ability to articulate and explain your ideas to other designers, engineers, and project managers
    • Able to produce visual mockups using Sketch or similar tools
    • Familiar with prototyping tools such as Invision, Framer, Protopie or Flinto
    • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
