UX/UI Visual Designer

ReachLocal is looking for a multi-disciplinary UX/UI Visual Designer with a strong creative background, and extensive design knowledge for B2B and B2C channels. This role will specialize in designing for multiple platforms including custom website themes, as well as internal systems and applications.

This role requires an in-depth understanding of user experience best practices, and will formulate end-to-end creative strategies to deliver user flows, low and high fidelity wireframes, full UI visual mockups, and custom tailored graphics. You will be expected to plan, lead, and execute projects with multiple team members to completion.

This role interfaces with internal and external customers, vendors, support teams, and others to deliver functional and appealing visual assets. You will need to demonstrate expert proficiency with website graphics and design through the use of industry best practices. This role is vital to new product development and supporting our B2B client websites.

Responsibilities:

  • Create user flows and wireframes as the first stage of the design process to consider all aspects of the functional user experience.
  • Conceptualize and produce custom creative mockups for website themes and internal systems that represent the latest trends in UI design.
  • Design themes and applications to work beautifully across devices and screen sizes.
  • Create and design logos, icons, illustrations and other custom creative assets as needed in multiple verticals and disciplines.
  • Work with cross-functional team members (Product, User Experience, Engineering) to execute on project designs and requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, and maintain SLAs.
  • Work with Site Fulfillment and Support teams to handle client requests, and provide visual design expertise.

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent certification with significant interactive UX/UI design and creative experience.
  • 5+ years freelance, agency or in-house experience a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of design toolsets, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Invision, Figma, Zeplin.
  • Native interest in modern visual design, user experience best practices, and latest industry products and trends.
  • Work independently and in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Devoted attention to detail, while being flexible to evolving creative trends.
  • Deeply Internet-savvy, and familiar with WordPress a big plus.
  • Knowledge of HTML, and CSS3/SASS a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
