UI/UX Designer

The Career Opportunity

The UI/UX Designer is a critical position on the LearnPlatform Product team to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products in alignment with our roadmap, strategy, company goals, and mission. The position offers an incredible growth opportunity for a motivated, creative, and organized individual who wants to have an immediate impact on an early-stage company serving the education technology space. The UI/UX Designer position offers a path to expand your skills and experience while working with a team that is committed to having a positive impact on education.


  • Be the champion for the LearnPlatform product design
  • Translate product and user requirements into storyboards, process flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Design graphical user interface elements aligned with the LearnPlatform style guide
  • Communicate design iterations with internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Organize, document, and communicate planned work with leadership and team leads
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX challenges and problems
  • Work with Product Managers, Researchers, Designers, Marketers, and Engineers to execute planned work in alignment with roadmap
  • Conduct user interviews and respond to feedback for prototypes and production products


  • Proven track record visual design skills through designing successful software products
  • Knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, InVision, or Figma
  • Experience with agile methodologies and practices such as Scrum, or KanBan
  • Experience with JIRA, Aha!, GSuite, and/or other project management tools
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with interdisciplinary teams
  • Self-starter with a bias towards responsible action and the know-how to balance getting details right while still moving fast
  • Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, results-driven startup environment


  • Portfolio of designed products and projects
  • UX research experience
  • User testing experience
  • Experience with information organization, architecture, and the visual display of quantitative information
