Rocket Communications is currently reviewing resumes and portfolios for a qualified Senior UX Designer to join the remote Rocket team!
The Senior UX Designer is responsible for interpreting and analyzing client’s needs and goals in order to create complex and interactive experiences and world class solutions for business applications and software interfaces. The Senior UX Designer is a crucial rotate at Rocket and will be focused on designing internal and external projects, while also providing UX Designer technical knowledge.
About You
- You are able to create user-centered designed by understanding business requirements, the voice of the client, user journeys, user feedback and usability findings.
- You are able to iteratively create user flows, wire frames, prototypes, low and high fidelity mocks up as they pertain to the phase of projects.
- You are able to collaborate with UX Researchers to support the discovery phase for projects.
- You are able to conduct usability testing through research and prototyping.
- You know how to create, size, define, update, and groom user stories in Agile software.
- You have a highly developed understanding of the software services and product eco-systems design and development process for web applications, mobile platforms, and desktop platforms.
- You have strong inter-personal, written, and oral communication skills with impeccable responsiveness and follow-through on details.
- You are organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing work environment.
- You have the ability to work with eclectic, multi-disciplinary teams and team members with diverse backgrounds and personalities
- You have strong analytical, problems-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years experience working in UX/UI Design.
- Bachelor’s Degree or work experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Expert level experience in at least one aspect of UX Design and proficient experience in a second aspect of UX Design.
- Business, research, and technical writing experience.
- Experience adhering to style standards on fonts, colors, images, accessibility, and following visual design guidelines
- Experience creating human centered design.
- Due to Rocket’s work with local and federal government agencies US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain security clearance.
Bonus Points
- Experience working with Jira or another Agile software.
- Past experience working on a remote team.
- Experience managing or leading projects.
- Understanding of government and enterprise work.
- Experience working with Sketch or Abstract.
- Live in Colorado, extra bonus points if you live in Colorado Springs.
