Posted 5 years ago

We are looking for a UX designer responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into wireframes, designs and prototypes. You will also design the overall functionality of limber’s apps and iterate upon them to ensure a great user experience. There will also be digital design work to support marketing and sales including graphics for content and promotional material.

About the role:
Working closely with the CTO, you’ll be an integral part of the product development team working from idea through to delivery on a mixture of new development and improvements to existing flows. limber’s community has two distinct customer types: businesses on the hiring side and individuals who work with them. Our aim is to create a fair, open and transparent place for both sides of the community to connect and build relationships, which means constantly considering the impact of product features to all users.

Our development process is agile and iterative and we use a mixture of experience, feel and data for prioritising the work we choose to do. Ideas and features are developed and iterated on quickly so you must be happy working in a startup environment where change is normal.

About you:
We’re looking for a highly motivated designer who is passionate about user experience. You'll be proactive in improving the existing product and good at spotting new opportunities.

We’d like to see the following:
Strong visual design skills with the ability to balance functional and delightful design.
Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
Experience leading product design discussions.
A good understanding of mobile-first and responsive web design.
An awareness of how you work and how your style impacts others.
An ability to talk and listen with empathy.

We welcome applicants from all different backgrounds with professional experience in a similar environment.

Benefits:
There will be a core package of:

£35-50k salary;
Share options (either based on targets or duration of service - that’s up to you);
25 days holiday;
Other perks include 3 hours a week personal time, a central Bristol office on St. Nicholas Street and a flexible working environment.
