Your Opportunity
The UI/UX Designer will work in support of the product development process. The right candidate will have a solid background in design and will understand technical business models, application structures, and design frameworks within a strategic SaaS environment and be keen to be part of a dynamic team. Working within a team focused environment, you will articulate the needs of the user(s) with clear and concise designs and application frameworks. The UI/UX Designer will play a critical role in ensuring that Kinduct is developing and deploying the highest quality products, that exceed the needs of our dynamic customer base, within an environment of accountability and success.    


    • With a suite of user testing tools, the UI/UX Designer will work with the UX Researcher to conduct research to learn customer behaviours when using our products and makes recommendations for product improvements. (i.e. hotjar);
    • Work with stakeholders and team members to test business requirements using heuristic/qualitative and quantitative methods;
    • Follow a project from strategy through design, to ensure that the user is first and foremost in the final product;
    • Works with project teams from brainstorm to execution, as defined by our agile framework;
    • In collaboration with the UX team, analyze user research data and collaborate with project teams to design a user-centered site blueprint;
    • Create user interfaces and functional specification documents, user guides, on-boarding documents;
    • Advocate for users/consumers throughout the development process;
    • Documentation of all UIs developed;
    • Define user experience standards that can be applied across offerings;
    • Assist with web design, CSS efforts when required;
    • Prototype and test product ideas before market release;
    • Partner with Product Managers to package insights into assets such as: personas, user flows, experience maps, scenarios, etc., as appropriate;
    • Organize information by translating user behaviour into media structure and elements; crafting interactive experiences; producing workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts, and storyboards; preparing interaction specifications, navigation rules, an organization of information, and site maps; coordinating with business, technology, visual, structural, editorial, cognitive, and brand strategists;
    • Build low and high-fidelity mockups;
    • Assist with sales presentation materials.   

Technical Competencies

    • 2 years of directly related experience;
    • Demonstrated experience in creating marketplace environments, interfaces, large-scale websites, and applications;
    • Understanding of user experience, web design and development processes, methods, and principles;
    • Experience using Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch;
    • Working knowledge of programming languages is considered an asset;
    • Able to synthesize research and effectively communicate insights to teams large and small
    • Experience using Google Analytics, HotJar, or other analytics tools
    • Strong visualization skills with the ability to clearly communicate, both in writing and orally
    • Experience working closely with designers and developers
