Design Lead

The Role

• You will play an integral role when it comes to the strategy and growth of the design department, working with other Team Leads and the CEO to set the direction of design within the product, and at the company
• You will be responsible for developing the overall visual identity of the product
• You will champion best practice and will be responsible for ensuring exemplary UI and UX in all the features we ship and work that we do
• You will be leading a team of designers and will work with them to guide the setting of their user experience vision
• You will pair with your team to maintain and grow our design components library
• You will be able to offer research and insights to help product managers adapt and prioritise the roadmap

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience within a UX/UI Design or Product Design role
• Experience in a social networking company/space
• Preferable experience in a consumer facing startup/company
• Must have high design standards and seek to exceed expectations
• Ambitious, driven and up for a challenge
• Experience managing or mentoring a creative team
• You will have an end-to-end design skill-set
• You will have a diverse and evolving toolbox of methods and techniques for visualising problems, user journeys, and interactions, as well as for developing and testing solutions
