Your Role:  

You embrace being accountable, are constantly curious about how you can upgrade your design and management skills, and you love taking time out to mentor your team while joyfully taking on multiple hands-on design projects in parallel. As a Lead UX Designer, you will be responsible for delivering the best overall user experience for vehicles, apps, and Brand Ecosystem, which makes your role extremely important for our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. You have an intimate understanding of the current state of automotive and consumer electronics HMI, and can lead FF’s teams in producing a vision-level UX. You will be designing using various methods and latest technology as well as designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, forms, and widgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership - team leadership, mentorship, design workflow ownership
  • Strategy & execution for product design across multiple platforms and brands
  • Oversight of all the design needs including UI/UX strategy and execution for web and mobile properties plus sales marketing collateral domestically and international.
  • Managing expectations and delivery across product, engineering & marketing
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to our products through hi-fidelity storyboards, wireframes, prototypes and visual comps
  • Hands-on web and mobile UI/UX design, wireframing, prototyping
  • Strategies and design execution across multiple platforms and for providing leadership and mentorship to your growing design team
  • Plan and implement new designs
  • Optimize existing user interface designs
  • Test for intuitively and experience
  • Communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives
  • Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions
  • Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
  • Create prototypes for new product ideas
  • Test new ideas before implementing
  • Conduct an ongoing user research

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience as an UI-UX Designer or similar role
  • UI/UX design portfolio
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to discuss and explain design options
  • Detail oriented
  • Critical thinker
  • Problem solver and customer-centered
  • Knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
  • 3 + years of experience with HTML5 & CSS3
  • Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.
  • UX and UI design in B2C/B2B
  • Mobile (iOS and Android) and web product design
  • Customer interviews, user stories, personas, and user testing platforms/services
  • User Flows, wireframes, prototypes
  • Elegant, clean, modern visual design
  • Expert proficiency in Figma, including building components in multiple Figma design systems
  • Proficiency in other tools for design and rapid prototyping
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with, and a solid understanding of responsive design, mobile to desktop adaptation
  • An optimistic attitude such that you see everyone for their strengths and potential
  • You are self-sufficient and take on 100% responsibility

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 5 years experience in sales or product-related management positions, preferably in consumer engagement and consumer experience.
