Our mission at Pulse Analytics is to help decision-makers in oncology and other specialty therapeutic areas, identify and reduce access barriers across the healthcare industry, ensuring patients have access to the treatments they need. Our web-based decision support application connects healthcare industry organizations and key influencers to deliver targeted quality insights to support our client’s customer engagement strategies. We are currently growing and are looking to bring on talented and driven individuals to help build the future of B2B healthcare data analytics products.

Role Overview

The Pulse Analytics design team is currently expanding to support new product capabilities and initiatives that aid healthcare/pharma decision-makers in increasing access to drug therapies for patients. You’ll be working closely with business stakeholders, other designers, product managers, engineers, and other product and business support functions to create cutting-edge user experiences. Our product design team owns the entire design cycle from early concept ideation, data analysis, ensuring user experience standards through development, analytics, client feedback synthesis and iteration.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate with different stakeholder types to understand our user’s needs, goals and motivations by facilitating participatory design, whiteboarding and requirement gathering workshops

  • Rapidly implement clickable prototypes for concept-testing with customers and stakeholders

  • Utilize UX research methodologies to drive design decisions, elevate the product, and incorporate new utility, data, or functionality into the platform

  • Gather feedback from stakeholders, talk with business experts and stay up-to-date with healthcare market access industry trends to look for new product opportunities

  • Work with and translate complex data sets into digestible, user-friendly visualizations

  • Own the entire UI design process from rough sketches to high-fi mockups and ensure those translate into a high-quality end product throughout the development delivery process

  • Develop and maintain our design system in collaboration with our Front-End Engineering team

  • Be a champion of design and UX across the company by educating others on best practices and patterns

  • Help shape the design and product process at Pulse Analytics

About You

  • 2+ years of professional design experience in an agile, fast-paced environment

  • Firm understanding of UX, design heuristics, and visual design principles

  • Quickly learn new concepts, industry knowledge, internal systems, business goals and customer needs

  • Experience collaborating with many different stakeholder types and business functions

  • Analyze, interpret, and transform data as it relates to the application design and interface through Excel and other data applications

  • Able to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints

  • Strong attention to the little details from pixels to documentation

  • A methodical and logical approach to solving problems

  • Create high-fidelity clickable prototypes (using Sketch, Invision and Abstract) to communicate to customers, stakeholders and product development teams

  • Comfortable creating production-quality visual assets such as icons, graphics, and marketing materials

  • Develop user research strategies to gather customer/user feedback

  • Effectively communicate design specifications to the engineering team through design and product documentation

  • Excellent time and project management abilities with experience working and completing multiple projects at any given time

  • Understanding of HTML and CSS

  • Highly collaborative and strong communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience designing B2B, SaaS, or enterprise applications

  • Experience designing interactive data visualizations

  • Developed or contributed to a design system

  • Basic understanding of JavaScript/React as it relates to interaction and interface design
