Product Designer (UI)

We’re looking for an ambitious designer, passionate about clear and beautiful product design, to help us deliver the best experience when planning and prioritising asset maintenance. You'll be working in our Product team, together with our Head of Product and developers. We need you to lead the effort of designing the most kick-ass interface to our groundbreaking technology!

Electrical assets produce data jungles. Wind turbines, electrical grid infrastructure, and heavy-industry machinery are critical to our customers' operations but very difficult to monitor. Jungle helps owners to get more out of their assets by illuminating asset performance, both now and in the future. Our technology leverages massive streams of data to understand what normal asset behaviour looks like, and to detect and explain faults and underperformance.  By extending lifetime, reducing downtime, and increasing yield, Jungle makes owning and operating assets cheaper, more reliable and more sustainable.

Why do we need you?

• We are building products on very complex technology and data. We need a smart and pragmatic person who can help us design these in a way that conveys these complexities as simple and elegant elements.
• We communicate in visualised data. Making this look sweet and clear is paramount to our success.
• To do our analysis at scale, we've built several internal tools that help us ease and automate our processes. Becoming vaster and more powerful these tools require better user interfaces to speed up our analyses.

Main requirements

• Design: You live and breathe design. You can translate ideas to clear and beautiful mockups on paper and digitally.
• Prototyping: You can quickly translate mockups into interactive prototypes.
• UI: You design and deliver efficient and elegant user interface for all mediums.
• Collaboration: You value collaboration and are at your best when you’re part of a team.

• You have developed a portfolio with detailed examples of beautiful, and (moreover) clever interaction design.
• You are flexible; we’re a young startup and you’ll be designing lots of fun things.
• You are fluent in English, and as a bonus would also happily communicate in HTML and CSS.
• You are willing to work with us at the Jungle HQ in Lisbon.
• You are eligible to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• (Preferred) UX: You think about the whole product experience, and conceive consistent user facing solutions.
• (Preferred) User testing: You have experience testing solutions with users and extract insights.
• (Preferred) Data: You understand how to visualise complex data in a simple way.
