Senior UX Designer

MaaS Global is the world’s first true Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) operator with its award-winning Whim app, which provides users all city transport services in one app. With over 3 million trips made since its launch in December 2017, Whim is the first all-inclusive MaaS solution commercially available on the market. Whim allows users to journey where and when they want with public transport, taxis, rental cars, and many other options, all under a single monthly subscription. Whim has revolutionized users’ travel habits, in favor of circular modes.

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to take the Whim app and service to the next level. You would be joining our growing product design team where we are designing the future of urban mobility together. You are a seasoned user experience professional with an excellent ability to understand user needs and convert insights, ideas, and requirements into engaging experiences that would change the way people move about.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating in a fun and dynamic environment with other designers, developers and various stakeholders to understand user needs, create concepts, design user flows, and take ideas from sketches all the way to production
• Having end-to-end design responsibility for different service features, user journeys, prototypes and concepts
• Creating and maintaining UX flows, conducting usability tests, and working with developers to get designs implemented
• Arranging design reviews and facilitating service design workshops from time to time
• Communicating ideas and design concepts to the wider team in a clear manner

Requirements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in UX and interaction design for mobile apps and digital services
• A strong portfolio showing applied skills and a track record of successfully delivered projects
• Solid skills in creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, user journeys, UI layouts, and design deliverables
• Knowledge of UX and visual design principles, usability testing, and service design methods
• Familiarity with both iOS and Android UI styles as well as with the latest digital design trends. Experience working in service design projects is a plus
• Hands-on experience with tools like Sketch and Illustrator. Storyboarding and illustration skills are appreciated
• A general understanding of the SW development process and experience working with developers
• Strong communications skills with a good command of written and spoken English
• Educational background in human computer interaction, visual design, product design or a similar field preferred

You will work onsite at the MaaS Global office that is in the heart of Helsinki, Finland. Relocation to Helsinki area is required.
