Senior Product Designer

Your Mission

is to be our first product designer in a new team, with immediate opportunity for impact, on a brand new platform for decision making and virtual training. You will be building a new class of application, critical to the our vision, significantly enhancing the security of nation states. Your users will be key figures in our military; with the tooling we build vastly increasing the capabilities for planning and meeting the threats of the modern world.

You will have the opportunity to own UX and product design on this product; setting standards and driving best-practice. We expect that you will influence widely across the business, helping to deliver a truly innovative and powerful product. This undertaking encompasses many new and difficult design challenges; this role is particularly relevant for those who wish to push the envelope and build something important and altogether new.

Outcomes

/ You will leverage your extensive experience in UX and wider Product design to establish and develop a strategy for this important new product, acting as the design SME working cross-functionally with engineering, product and creative teams. We are especially interested to hear from candidates with experience designing data-intensive, B2B products.

/ You drive developing wireframes and user task flows, developing a sense for how users will interact with the new capabilities our product provides. We expect that you will have a deep sense of user empathy and will constantly ensure we’re focussed on building value for our customers.

/ You will tie together engineering and design to create a singular product design vision that wows our users and deliver critical new capabilities for them. We expect you will have had experience bringing products from ideation through to production, and understand the associated challenges and risks in this journey.

/ Given the scope for impact and our long-term aspiration to build a significant suite of products, we are particularly drawn to candidates who have led product design processes and mentored colleagues in their career.
