Hi, we are looking for interns to join an extremely exciting, London based gaming start-up. We are looking for people who are looking for projects, need something to put on their CV, or have been furloughed; we can help to plug a gap. The internship is for a 2-4 week period, after which a permanent role will be offered upon the successful completion of the internship. We will cover all daily expenses. Anyway, about the role:
This role is for a UI/UX specialist to help provide 'polish' to our platform that enables players to select from a portfolio of games and compete one-to-one against a computer or fellow players. Players can also enter into one of our many daily competitions and win real-money prizes.
The candidate will need to be able to “hit the ground running” and be able to create a style guide and then viz comps for the development team to use.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
