SCOPE & GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

 As a User Experience (UX) Research Specialist at CBT Nuggets, you will support research initiatives that validate and inform innovative, user-focused software products. You are an individual with excellent communication skills, who is diligent, detail-oriented, and can work independently. This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in gaining hands-on experience being a valuable member of a Marketing team, executing large-scale research projects that impact business outcomes and design direction.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

    • Time and resource management
    • Meet project deadlines

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Help collect and analyze both qualitative and basic quantitative user data.
    • Create highlight videos/screenshots of usability tests.
    • Track research projects and manage project files.
    • Handle research administrative tasks (participant database maintenance, project management, and other support functions.)
    • Help prepare for and facilitate user research projects (recruiting and scheduling participants for user research studies, assisting with research planning and scripting, tracking consent forms, setting up and sending surveys and quick tests, etc.)
    • Conduct literature reviews or other web-based research.
    • Work with learner facing teams and business analytics to gather user data

Education required:

    • Bachelor's degree in a field related to UX, such as communication, design, computer science, HCI, psychology, or anthropology.

Skills/experience required:

    • Willingness to be self-motivated and autonomous.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage scheduling-related information.
    • Comfort with new and developing technology.
    • Neat, organized, and able to handle several tasks at one time.
    • Passionate about research and tasks related to consumer research.
    • Ability to speak and write about findings clearly, as well as understand assignments and instructions.
    • Ability to become a proficient user of standard user testing tools (software and hardware).
    • Willingness to be flexible and embrace change
    • Comfortable talking to, interviewing, and testing users from a diverse user base in a friendly manner.
