About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join Rho and contribute as a core member of our design team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in shaping the direction and trajectory of new products in Fintech. You will be collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team (Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, QAs, Designers) in all phases of design, from discovery to execution.

Responsibilities

• Think holistically about complex systems, empathize with customers, and understand business goals to create compelling and effective user experiences
• Support FE engineers with design systems, styling, and animations by building high-fidelity, stateful prototypes
• Supports and maintains Rho's design system & component library
• Assist in mentoring senior and junior level product design team members.
• Collaborate with PM’s and engineers in an iterative, transparent and feedback driven process
• Identify product UX/UI inconsistencies across multiple products in a given suite
• Work with engineers and product managers to oversee UI design implementation, while also serving as an advocate for design in strategic product decision

Requirements

• 5+ years experience shipping complex B2B products or large-scale consumer products
• CSS, HTML, Javascript, and detailed knowledge of how modern web & mobile applications are built
• Expert in Figma, with strong prototyping abilities (Framer, React)
• Loves collaborating with engineers – enjoys translating complex, static designs to production-ready code.
• Strong design foundation in both UI (interaction, visual) and UX (user research, analysis, information architecture, wireframing)
• Process-oriented but agile: the ability to quickly translate requirements into designs that are both functional and beautiful
• Ability to both provide and receive design criticism constructively, and appreciation for its importance within the design process
• A portfolio demonstrating a clean visual aesthetic and strong eye for detail
• Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach
• Lives and breathes design
