Posted 1y ago
We’re on the lookout for an awesome Product Designer to join our growing multi-disciplined product team! Are you an experienced designer with a solid technical aptitude and hands-on experience designing intuitive and engaging digital experiences? Do you keep data and customer insights at the heart of the design process? Are you someone who is constantly striving to learn everything about the user? If you answered yes to these questions, we want you!

What's in it for you?
Well, this isn't a minor role - you'll have the opportunity to work end-to-end on our products from discovery, definition, and development through to delivery and iteration. You’ll get stuck into research to gather insight to help us better understand the wants, needs, and behaviours of our fascinating users. You’ll employ your problem-solving skills to exceed user needs and create multiple options to address problems and opportunities, and you'll also run user tests to validate hypotheses and iterate based on learnings, while rapidly prototyping and iterating designs based on user feedback and market research.

You’ll own KPIs and design solutions to achieve Laced/customers' goals and measure impact and validate progress. You’ll facilitate discovery workshops, design sprints, and ideation sessions, keeping a strong focus on user needs while supporting Agile project cycles and priorities whilst partnering with Engineering to get rapid feedback on feasibility and monitor product quality as far as UX before it's shipped, and help to optimize our ways of working as we scale at pace.

You'll be joining a team that values innovation and is always pushing the envelope. We're all about digital projects and cutting-edge tech, which means you'll have the chance to work on some really exciting stuff and be part of a company that's constantly breaking new ground. Plus, we're huge on professional growth - we've got a pumped-up L&D budget and plenty of career pathing opportunities to help you grow with us.

Our squad is all about working together and sharing ideas. Even though we're remote for now, soon we'll have a collab space where we can all come together, bond, and plan. Plus, you'll get to join our hackathons and quarterly product and engineering meetups.

What we're looking for
We're looking for a designer that thirves in an environment where they articulate their designs, understand the design patterns behind habit-forming products, and focus on how our product can create value for our users. You’ll always leverage insights to prioritize UX decisions, and your unwavering curiosity will never stop you from learning and advancing. You’ll also be comfortable giving and receiving feedback to improve the product and love building strong partnerships.

Ideally, you'll have worked with Product Managers and Engineers in an agile environment. Experience with Figma (bonus if experienced in Overflow!) would be great, as well as a solid proficiency with quantitative and qualitative research methods to identify challenges and evaluate concepts, including user metrics, usability testing, surveys, and card sorting, and proficiency in interactive prototyping and Agile scrum experience working in sprints with backlogs and feature sets.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have a solid track record of delivering impactful product experiences that have achieved commercial success. You’ll have an agile mindset and embrace the process of rapid prototyping for product experiments. You’ll be confident in planning, conducting, and analyzing research and testing studies, across both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. You’ll be obsessed with learning everything you can about your customers and their wants, needs, and behaviours. You’ll also be confident setting and monitoring KPIs to measure impact and validate we’re making progress towards our business and customers' goals.
