This opportunity is a part of Blink's Embedded practice which supports long-term opportunities with some of Blink’s largest client partners.
In this role, you will be a core member of our frameworks design and development teams, tackling challenges large and small and always focused on how to improve our customers’ experience.
You are a true design/development hybrid: you have a refined, progressive design aesthetic and are a hands-on UI designer as well as an exceptional hybrid mobile and web front-end developer. In this role, you will be at the center of design for all our customer-facing digital products and play a pivotal role in building the next generation of products that delight our customers.
Location
Hybrid - 3 days/week from San Leandro, CA
What you'll do
- Design and develop beautiful, functional front-end UI and experiences for mobile apps and web-based applications
- Translate business and customer requirements into elegant experiences
- Collaborate with designers to build and maintain visually appealing, user-friendly, and accessible design systems
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure design integrity throughout the development lifecycle, bridging the gap between design and code
- Leverage your diverse skill set to craft prototypes and proofs-of-concept that push the boundaries of what’s possible and bring joy to every customer interaction
- Craft code that controls the look and feel of an experience: colors, typography, responsive layout, motion, interactions, and any other visual aspect of the UI
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Optimize code for performance, stability and maintainability
- Work with cross-functional teams of application/UI software engineers, UI/UX designers, and QA/Validation
Your background
- Experience with responsive design, mobile-first development, and cross-browser compatibility
- Strong understanding of modern UI design patterns and human-centered design principles
- Knowledge with React JavaScript framework
- iOS + Android
- Experience with version control tools such as Git
- Strong desire to learn new languages and stay updated with new technologies
- Strong understanding of code performance and optimization techniques
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using with design patterns. High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance
- Experience creating, maintaining and shipping top-ranking, category-defining mobile and web apps
- Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, or related field
$100,000 - $125,000 a year
