About moove:

moove (yep that’s right, we don’t capitalise the m) is a new house finding platform doing something a bit different. We’re the first platform that allows renters to get involved and shape a community that enables better house finding. Think of it as TripAdvisor, but for where you live.

We’re looking for an amazing UI/UX Design freelancer, who will help to wireframe and design elements of our platform - from first launch and beyond. You will join a small but growing team of marketers, data analysts, engineers and everything in-between.

Who - we’re looking for:

Keen and excited individuals, passionate about interface design and who care about the user experience, in order to get students loving and using the moove platform for their accommodation needs.

Ideally, you will have a background in Graphic Design, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Interface Design - however we’re also interested if you have any experience or a demonstrable interest in wire-framing and prototyping, UX writing, Visual communication & UI and User Testing.

Renumeration:

You will be taken on as a freelancer for a specific pre-launch project, with a payment made in Q1 of 2021. Payment for this project is negotiable between £1,500-£2,000.

Where

You will work on your own device from the comfort of home. We’re Cardiff based - so should you wish to, and feel comfortable in doing so there will be the opportunity to visit our office space in line with our evolving Covid policies.

When

We’re ready when you are! Following shortlisting, we are keen for you to get stuck in. Ideally this will occur at the end of October / November start.

To Apply

Please submit a CV, and short (we mean it, 3 - 5 paragraphs will do!) covering letter explaining why you wish to undertake this opportunity at moove, and include some examples of your previous work / or attach your portfolio in your application. We won’t be able to consider any applicants who do not include a portfolio or previous working examples.

Formalities

We really want to stress that we are an equal opportunities organisation and want, welcome and encourage a broad spectrum of individuals to apply. Therefore, regardless of your background, disability status, faith, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, relationship status, religion or belief, caring responsibility or age, if you have the skills that will make you successful for this role, we encourage you to apply. A diverse organisation makes us all far stronger and more agile.
