UX Designer/Researcher

Edge & Node (E&N), the team behind The Graph, is looking for a UX Designer/Researcher. The Graph is at the forefront of the decentralization movement. Currently, most of the leading Ethereum dApps are powered by our hosted service, serving billions of queries per month and growing exponentially.

In December last year, we launched the decentralized network for querying open datasets. The launch was extremely successful both from a user and a financial perspective. We are a small dynamic and remote team, located in many time-zones. The distance doesn't stop us from collaborating closely. We chat daily and have weekly company team call.

Our team has high standards. We strive for excellence in every iteration by being curious, agile, and pragmatic. We're looking for a designer who isn't afraid to jump in and explore new challenges. You are a user obsessed and research-driven designer with a balance of interaction design and product thinking skills.

As a UX Designer/Researcher you will be responsible for improving how the user interacts with the network.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the community and stakeholders to collect information and identify possible research areas

• Design and conduct research using quantitative and qualitative methods that address user behaviors and needs

• Generate and document research insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs

• Prototype end-to-end flows based on insights to visualize product experiences

• Define, Improve and document UX patterns in the design system

• Support making high fidelity UI mockups

• Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality bar

Desired skills

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping applications that includes an end-to-end experience across a variety of platforms

• An aesthetic sense and skills within typography, colors, UI, layout, and iconography

• You are proficient in using Sketch/Figma and the Creative Cloud suite

• You're a natural collaborator who can work independently and in a team environment

• You are passionate about blockchain technology. You understand and can explain technical concepts in ways that everyday people can understand

• You are focus-driven, a doer that loves do create beautiful digital user experiences

Include a portfolio in the application with projects that highlight UX design, process/method, creativity, and visual design.
