UI/UX Design Engineer

We are building the next-generation availability monitoring platform and rapidly growing our user experience and user interface across our platform. We are focusing on our growth customer base while building and growing features focused on SRE’s and Developers in small medium businesses and rapidly scaling up to the enterprise.

We are seeking a UI/UX Design Engineer to join our product team who is passionate about delivering a world class monitoring platform experience to our customers. The ideal candidate has experience designing a great customer experience, utilizing the latest UI/UX frameworks and technologies to deliver an incredible experience for our customers.

What you will do:

• Partner with the Product team and Product Development teams and other members to prioritize, define, and deliver best-in-class user experiences.
• Confidently present your ideas and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.
• You will work on mobile application design to ensure the best experience between web and mobile solutions.
• You will be working in a highly dynamic, highly collaborative environment interfacing with many teams and members working on parallel projects.
• Implement a design strategy that integrates with multiple product areas with the UI/UX design team lead and product development leadership
• Create design components that inspire customers, product team and development that are recognized by the team as raising the bar for the product.
• Proactively generate new cross-product innovation and lead the implementation of new designs, experiences and enhancements.
• Design beautiful, responsive, helpful and desirable user interfaces and experiences that drive customer engagement.
• Conduct user research & usability tests and combine these insights and feedback to validate design decisions.
• Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to demonstrate your ideas to stakeholders.
• Incorporate best practices, research, and user feedback into your design decisions.

What you will need:

• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Partner with Product Owners and wider Product Team to be able to build and groom UI/UX backlogs, prioritize work to map to strategic initiatives.
• Prior experience working in remote design, product and engineering teams.
• You are a self-starter able to follow direction quickly and engage independently on projects following our roadmap and vision for the future of the product.
• Prior experience implementing high-fidelity designs accurately in HTML, CSS, Flutter, SASS with Bootstrap in Figma.
• ReactJS experience.
• Defining next generation design language to set us apart from competitors.
• Creating elegant data visualizations in different styles to facilitate excellent user functionality with large datasets.
• Enhancing data elements, visuals and experience for a wide, complex and highly technical customer base.
• Strong ability to defend designs, collaborate with others across the organization and share their voice on chosen designs and solutions.
• Prior experience working in a high growth, fast-paced environment with many parallel projects.
• Driving bottom-up innovation and new feature capabilities in an agile development environment & writing user stories that represent the design requirements.

• A portfolio of work examples showcasing your skills and experience working in Cloud/SaaS products.
• Experience designing mobile applications that extend the user experience from web to mobile.
• Ability to take low fidelity mockups and code the solution for prototype design validation.
• You have the ability to engage at a high level with our product strategy and also act with speed and precision to deliver the tactical pieces to realize it in our UI/UX.
