Why this role is important to Field Nation:

Field Nation is setting a new Product vision and reimagining the user experience across our multi-sided platform. As a Senior Product Designer on our Marketplace team, you will join a collaborative, innovative group of product experts to design holistic solutions that deliver significant improvements for our Client experience. You’ll drive product discovery, solution exploration, and user research, solving real problems for 70,000+ users on our nationwide platform. You’ll be a key designer on a small team, forming a strong point-of-view for our product and design vision and establishing a high bar for quality across the team. This position is remote or in our office in Minneapolis, MN. and reports to our Marketplace Design Lead. 


What you’ll get to do in this role:

  • Design modern, whole product solutions that consistently meet the needs of users for our Marketplace product, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, simple, and user-friendly experience across all touchpoints. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of our users through quantitative and qualitative research. Proactively anticipate user needs and pain points, bringing design solutions that not only address identified issues but also improve the overall experience.
  • Leverage design best practices and product intuition to create modern and efficient solutions, using intuitive design and innovative approaches. Demonstrate a strong understanding of usability principles, interaction design patterns, and visual design standards.
  • Drive the design process from ideation to launch, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders. Utilize a design thinking methodology and user-centered approach to explore and validate solutions, create clear, compelling solutions, and ensure high-quality execution and alignment with technical feasibility.


You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 5-8+ years of experience as a Product Designer for complex products, with a fast-paced culture where you’ve formed, owned, and delivered a product vision. Marketplace, eCommerce, or HR Tech experience is a major plus.
  • A portfolio of work showcasing your ability to translate complex product problems into intuitive and efficient whole-product solutions using design thinking methodologies, including examples shipping, learning, and iterating with real users.
  • Experience conducting and applying various user research methods, with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable design decisions.
  • Mastery of UX/UI best practices, including usability, information architecture, interaction design and UX writing. Skilled at balancing established patterns with innovative design solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (product, engineering) and stakeholders.
  • Passion for design excellence and a constant drive to learn and stay updated on emerging trends and best practices, including an expert understanding of Figma, Miro, and other design tools.

$120,000 - $150,000 a year


At Field Nation, we share the value of transparency and enable this during our recruiting process. We believe it’s important to share the compensation range to best understand the full opportunity of a role! We select our initial range based on reliable compensation survey data. Other factors we consider in setting the specific pay for an individual will generally include, among other things, experience, specialized skills, work location, and internal equity to provide competitive offers. Additionally, every role is eligible for variable pay dependent on the position. As an agile and growing organization, the business needs may change. This may result in us hiring someone with less or more experience than the job description states. If that does happen, we will communicate the updated salary range and the new role to you as a candidate. The range stated below is a starting point of the compensation conversation, we’d like to hear what your compensation expectations are too! 


Base Salary Range | Minnesota or other Zone 3 | $120,000 - 150,000
