Description

We are looking for a compassionate and visionary Product Designer to join our team and lead the design of seamless, intuitive patient experiences. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that address key challenges in usability and engagement and deliver solutions that support our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Create empathetic, user-focused designs that consider the diverse needs and abilities of users, including those with varying health literacy levels.
  • Conduct user research to identify pain points, gather insights, and validate design concepts.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for mobile and web platforms that simplify complex healthcare workflows.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Clinical Experts to align designs with business goals and clinical requirements while ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Champion accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), ensuring all designs are inclusive for patients with disabilities or impairments.
  • Continuously test and refine designs through usability testing with users and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system to maintain a cohesive user experience across all touchpoints.
  • Design solutions that comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) while maintaining usability and trustworthiness.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in product design or UI/UX design, ideally within healthtech, wellness, or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design processes, creative problem-solving, and impactful design solutions.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design with a user-first perspective.
  • Experience designing for accessibility and inclusivity (e.g., accommodating patients with low vision or limited mobility).
  • Ability to create responsive designs for mobile and web platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to advocate for design decisions and share patient insights.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR guidelines).
  • Experience working with clinical teams.
  • Knowledge of behavioural design principles to encourage user engagement and adherence.
