Summary:

As a UX Researcher on the World AI team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape cutting-edge experiences that bridge the physical world with VR, MR, and AR technologies. Research plays a pivotal role in the success of this team—formative research is essential to drive product strategy and validate the usability of entirely new experiences on state-of-the-art hardware. You will contribute to crafting transformative experiences that redefine how users see, navigate, and engage with the world around them. The ideal candidate is an experienced VR researcher with a strong tactical background in usability research and the ability to independently conduct iterative research.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to identify, define, and deliver impactful products.
  • Develop and execute research studies and programs, both independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Lead diverse research initiatives across all phases of the product development lifecycle.

Skills:

  • Expertise in designing and leading usability testing for software and hardware experiences.
  • Strong ability to sustain research programs across product iterations.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and utilizing quantitative insights to support hypotheses.
  • Demonstrated autonomy and decision-making skills to prioritize research focus areas effectively.
  • Previous experience conducting research in the VR domain.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a field related to human behavior, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics.

Location: Burlingame, CA

Role type: Contract 6 Month Position

Expected hours: 40 per week
