Job Title: Mid-Level UX/UI Designer

About the Role

We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented UX/UI Designer to join a collaborative team supporting the delivery for federal clients. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience designing intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences and is eager to contribute to every stage of the product design processfrom research and ideation to high-fidelity mockups and prototyping.

Location & Schedule

This is a hybrid position based in Washington, D.C. Candidates in the surrounding area are welcome to apply, but must be willing to commute as needed. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure a seamless and accessible user experience.
• Apply consistent design standards and contribute to the evolution of the design system.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback and data to continuously improve the user experience.
• Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.

Requirements

• +4 years of professional experience in UX/UI design working in Agile federal IT environments.
• Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across web and/or mobile platforms.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
• Solid understanding of design principles, interaction design, and responsive design.
• Experience conducting user research and translating insights into actionable improvements.
• Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
