Empower is seeking a Head of Design with at least 3 years of relevant mobile app design experience. A portfolio of UI/UX case studies must be provided. This must include a UX flow of at least 4-5 screens that shows how an application would handle different inputs with detailed specs for at least 2 screens. *Remote candidates will NOT be considered. *

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Very strong work ethic

• Desire to be part of a team disrupting the status quo

• Experience working at a startup or at a similarly intense environment

• At least 3 years of relevant mobile app design experience

• Competency in existing and emerging digital design models and standards

• Strong understanding of modern UX design tools (Sketch, XD, Photoshop, OmniGraffle, InVision)

• Desire and willingness to wear multiple hats when necessary

Preferred candidates have:

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Experience with front-end languages, including HTML5, CSS3, Javascript

• Product management experience

• Experience designing applications that utilize geolocation services

• Experience designing and targeting print and social media marketing (e.g. FB and Instagram ads).
