🚀 We’re on a mission to make real estate transactions smarter, faster, and friction-free.

🏢 Real estate is the world’s largest asset class, yet the legal processes and tools behind it remain slow, manual, and underinvested. Lawyers must review dense documents line by line and piece together information across silos, all while clients demand faster, more transparent due diligence.

🤖 That's where we come in. Orbital Copilot is the AI assistant built exclusively for commercial real estate law. Developed with former practicing real estate lawyers, it accelerates complex due diligence by up to 70% while delivering legal-grade precision.

🤝 We're trusted by leading firms like Goodwin and BCLP to remove the busywork so legal teams can focus on what they do best: applying sharp legal judgment, delivering standout client service, and getting deals over the line faster.

đź’ˇ Working at Orbital means joining a team that's reimagining how real estate transactions get done - moving fast, working collaboratively, and giving people the ownership to make a real impact from day one.

The job, in a nutshell

Join the Orbital Copilot team as our second dedicated Product Designer and play a pivotal role in developing Orbital Copilot into an industry transforming AI legal assistant. Your mission? To inject groundbreaking features, refined aesthetics and intuitive usability into a product entering a hyper growth phase. With Orbital Copilot, you'll transform how property professionals work, leveraging your knack for rapid learning in cutting-edge domains like Generative AI and real estate due diligence.

This role is for a product designer who will deeply understand user needs around context ingestion and visual reasoning, then imagine and craft compelling ways to solve them. You will define the end-to-end experience for how users bring context into Copilot—across text, visuals, and emerging modalities—while setting a bold, aesthetically rich design vision. A key part of the role is unifying parallel initiatives into a single, cohesive Copilot experience that feels intuitive, expressive, and intentional.

You’ll get a chance to: 👩‍💻 👨‍💻

  • Work on products that are changing the way the world’s biggest asset class, and people’s most important purchase, is transacted.

  • Think outside the box! 📦 The problems we’re solving are complex and full of historical quirks — we’re revolutionising a 150+ year old industry after all.

  • Design AI-first products, where intelligence, automation and human-in-the-loop decision making are core to the experience, not bolted on later.

  • Help redefine what “good UX” means in an AI era, designing systems that are adaptive, probabilistic, explainable and trustworthy rather than static and deterministic.

  • Leverage cutting-edge AI in your own workflows and practice—including vibe-coding your own apps with tools like Lovable and Claude Code—to shape how our design function operates

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers and AI Engineers to to prioritise problems, identify requirements and build innovative solutions.

  • Conduct frequent user research interviews with a super engaged & transparent group of users. Our teams aim to speak with users and customers 3 times a week to inform and validate product decisions. You would be a huge part of that - especially testing mental models, trust and usability around AI-driven features.

  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and thoroughly documented design work for new and upgraded features

  • Improve and evolve our design system, to ensure products maintain an intuitive, clean, and consistent UX.

  • Measure and optimise for success - see how thousands of users are responding to your designs so that we can continually adapt and improve our products.

What you might be working on

  • Visual Reasoning - Real Estate is a tangible asset class, so due diligence involves understanding physical context. This is one of our most exciting problem spaces for long-term differentiation.

  • Context and Document Ingestion - We need to analyse information that lives inside documents, as well as find ways to tap into all the other context about a transaction that lives inside other mediums, from emails to prior due diligence to 3rd party data.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 3+ years in product design, with a strong portfolio in B2B SaaS solutions.

  • Is genuinely excited about leveraging Generative AI to solve real-world problems.

  • Is passionate about both UX and UI, aiming to craft seamless, impactful user experiences.

  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, taking ownership of the design process from concept to completion.

  • Possesses a proven ability to communicate design visions effectively and to conduct user research that informs design decisions.

  • Is a Figma expert, ensuring smooth hand-offs and high-quality outputs.

  • Has built and maintained a design system

  • Leverages Claude Code / Codex as part of their design workflow, particularly for rapid prototyping and experimentation

And a few nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fast scaling tech/AI startups

  • Experience with Geospatial / mapping / GIS

🔒 Security is everyone’s responsibility at Orbital. We ask all team members to follow our security policies, complete regular awareness training, and handle sensitive data with care in line with ISO 27001 standards. Spot something unusual? Reporting risks or incidents quickly helps us maintain the strong culture of security and compliance we all depend on.

💡 At Orbital, we’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We especially welcome applications from people who are traditionally underrepresented in tech. Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, or if the right role isn’t listed yet, we’d still love to hear from you.
