The Role  

As a Senior UI/UX Designer – Data & Analytics at StarRez, you’ll own the design of complex, data‑rich experiences that support decision‑making for administrators and improve clarity and usability across our platform. 

You’ll work as a senior individual contributor within a cross‑functional product team: Design, Product, Engineering, bringing deep UI/UX expertise to your product area. While Product Management owns roadmap direction and prioritisation, you will play a critical role in informing decisions through research, design exploration, and user‑centred evidence, translating complexity into intuitive, accessible solutions. 

This role sits within a newly established team focused on analytics, dashboards, and reporting, where you’ll elevate usability, interaction design, and data visualisation quality across StarRez products. 

What You Will Own 

• Lead complex design initiatives from discovery through delivery, translating multi‑role, data‑heavy workflows into intuitive, scalable, and accessible experiences. 

• Conduct and contribute to continuous discovery activities, including customer interviews, usability testing, and concept validation, surfacing insights that inform product decisions and reduce delivery risk. 

• Partner with Product to support clear problem framing, hypotheses, and measures of success, using research, experimentation, and customer feedback to validate design decisions and iterate solutions. 

• Work iteratively, shipping improvements in stages and refining designs based on real‑world usage, feedback, and observed outcomes. 

• Elevate data visualisation quality across dashboards and reporting experiences, ensuring information is clear, meaningful, and usable for diverse audiences. 

• Strengthen the broader product experience by contributing to our design system and embedding accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.2 AA) in collaboration with Engineering. 

• Support stakeholder alignment through clear communication of UX decisions, improving usability and consistency through hands‑on critique, shared UI/UX patterns, and informal mentorship. 

• Actively leverage AI‑powered tools and workflows within the design practice to accelerate exploration, iteration, and problem‑solving.  

Required Qualifications 

• 5+ years of experience designing complex SaaS or B2B digital products. 

• Strong experience designing data‑rich interfaces, including dashboards, reporting tools, or complex operational systems.   

• Demonstrated experience contributing to measurable product or business impact through improved usability, efficiency, or user satisfaction. 

• Strong systems thinking and experience working across interconnected workflows or multi-role platforms. 

• Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, and high-fidelity execution. 

• Experience leading discovery efforts and synthesizing insights into actionable product decisions. 

• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate design rationale clearly to cross-functional stakeholders. 

• Experience partnering closely with Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation. 

• A strong sense of shared ownership, you care about outcomes, not just deliverables. 

• Ability to balance speed with rigor, making thoughtful decisions grounded in research, data, and sound judgment. 

 Preferred Qualifications  

• Experience working in scale-ups or growth-stage product environments. 

• Familiarity with accessibility standards, testing tools, and assistive technologies. 

• Exposure to AI-enabled workflows, automation, or design-to-development optimisation practices.
