Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join our K12 youth team within the AEX (Autodesk Education Experience) organization. The K12 youth team’s mission is to empower youth to stay on the path to making by providing learning pathway that extends from youth to industry. If you are passionate about experience design, education and making, want the challenge of working with multiple teams and different audiences, this is the place for you. As part of this awesome team, you will play an essential role in supporting our education communities and driving user growth through your designs.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design process and strategies to improve site experience
- Turn product ideas into mockups and design specs
- Work collaboratively with product manager and engineers
- Develop and document internal style guide
- Use data and user research to inform and validate design decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of UX/UI experience working in small teams
- A strong portfolio showcasing user experience and visual design work
- Proficient with standard professional tools such as Sketch, InVision and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience designing for desktop and mobile web browsers
- Ability to work autonomously, own projects from end to end, and collaborate with distributed teams
- Proactive, independent, and great communicator
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to prototype with HTML and CSS
- Familiar with frontend technologies such as Javascript, Angular or React
- Passion about education and learning
