We are helping millions save when they shop online, and we're hiring! We are actively seeking a Sr. Product Designer to join the Product Design Team in our Los Angeles office.

 

About the Role:

We are looking for a Sr. Product Designer to join our team and contribute to the evolving Honey product offering. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in shaping the direction and trajectory of a new product. You will be collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team (Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, QAs, Designers) in all phases of design from discovery to execution, with a focus on merchant experience.

 

What You’ll Do:

As a Sr. Product Designer at Honey, you will:

  • Take the lead to think holistically about complex systems, empathize with customers, and understand business goals to create compelling and effective user experiences
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final pixel perfect deliverables based on requirements from Product and various stakeholders
  • Work closely and collaboratively with UX Researchers, UX Writers, Product Managers, Engineers, Revenue and Marketing stakeholders to fulfill the overall product vision
  • Manage your bandwidth and project pipeline to execute designs in time with your team’s product roadmap
  • Build out multi-version comps for user testing and iterate quickly based on learnings found in user testing
  • Capture all states, edge-cases, “unhappy paths” and path logic for engineering teams to build out
  • Provide prototypes/deliverables to describe interactions and motion to enhance UI
  • Execute final, “pixel perfect” UI designs and package, spec, and prep for engineering
  • QA developed features for visual perfection, and provide detailed feedback to engineering towards revisions
  • Mentor other designers

 

About You:

  • Experience designing for B2B services
  • 5+ years experience shipping products used by millions of consumers
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach
  • Proficiency in current design software (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Principle, Framer, etc)
  • A portfolio demonstrating a clean visual aesthetic and strong eye for detail 
  • Proficiency designing for multiple devices and platforms
  • Ability to both provide and receive design criticism constructively, and appreciation for its importance within the design process
  • Strong product thinking skills
  • Process-oriented but agile: the ability to quickly translate requirements into designs that are both functional and beautiful
  • Proficiency in insight-driven decision making (from data and user behavior)
  • Strong design foundation in both UI (interaction, visual) and UX (user research, analysis, information architecture, wireframing)
  • Lives and breathes design

 

Bonus Points For: 

  • CSS, HTML, Javascript, and detailed knowledge of how modern web & mobile application are built 
  • Experience designing either E-commerce or Fintech products
  • UX Writing
  • Experience leading small teams
