Our Studio is on the hunt for innovators that consider themselves dynamic, collaborative developers that thrive in a fast-paced team environment. We’re seeking a talented and passionate UX/UI Designer to drive the design, implementation of UX/UI on multiple unannounced projects. You will work closely with the entire design team while collaborating with other disciplines to drive the overall gameplay experience.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the entire user experience flow and pipeline from design to implementation
- Design digital interactions that are easy to learn, a pleasure to interact with, and augment the user’s comprehension of the subject matter
- Work iteratively with the game design team to translate pitches and storyboards into wire-frames/mock-ups/prototypes/animatics that explore and communicate the design
- Revise work according to critique, changing requirements, and user and stakeholder feedback
- Collaborate with art team to translate wire-frames/mock-ups into game-ready assets
- Use Unity UI tools to build responsive layouts
- Participate in playtest sessions gathering and considering constructive feedback
- Provide regular, effective feedback across all of your features, and across the project as a whole
- Be an advocate for player experience and create compelling user stories
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in HMI development.
- Dedicated to a positive and inclusive work environment that supports and nurtures diverse talent
- Self-sufficient and self-motivated while having no fear of asking for help or guidance
- Ability to clearly exchange and encourage communication across a multi-discipline team
- Familiarity with game development pipelines and technical constraints, particularly with respect to UI/UX integration
- Demonstrated ability to use visuals and motion to clearly communicate complex interactions
- Ability to design and create polished UI Assets in Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent industry-standard software
- Strong visual literacy: layout, color, visual hierarchy, and typography
- Strong graphic design skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- A passion for games and a keen interest in gameplay creation
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Balsamiq as a UX design tool
- Technical art experience
- Demonstrable experience with Unity
- Tabletop RPG or board gamer
