We are looking for a Product/UX designer with a strong background in data visualization and analytics to join into a great start-up based in Barcelona. -
Your mission 🚀
Understand the industries associated with the company (aviation, natural hazards, risk management and insurance) and complete appropriate research on their business needs.
Design and develop prototypes of: Data derivative products (indices, forecasts) and Data visualization dashboards.
Refine the UX and overall product design of products in the operational pipeline.
Create one-off tailored versions of existing products for exploration in a very rapid turn-around cycle.
Develop good relations with current and future commercial partners that will collaborate as user testers.
Ensure product specifications are executed correctly.

5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a growing and dynamic startup or research institution.
Exceptional data visualization knowledge, preferably with experience in client-facing products.
Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau) for a rapid product creation/testing.
Competent understanding of data analytics fundamentals, preferably through code, alternatively in commercial software like Excel or SPSS.
Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills: ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a proven ability to meet and complete multiple deadlines and tasks.
Proficiency in English is a must (Native speaker preferred). Good handling of Spanish required.
