As a talented, creative, and energetic Web/UX Designer, you’ll join us in building a categorydefining home furnishings brand through our e-commerce product. You will be dedicated to delivering a best-in-class experience for our customers and understanding how great web design and UX contribute to our brand perception and impact the bottom line. Responsibilities Creative plays a pivotal role in translating our premium brand and product to the customer through the website. You will support both brand and revenue objectives with your design.

As a Web/UX Designer, you will:

  • Scope, roadmap, and design new/enhanced site features, customer experiences, new launches, and optimizations
  • Have a firm understanding of UI in order to translate business objectives into intuitive, elegantly designed, interactive interfaces
  • Analyze site weaknesses and opportunities to strengthen UX and optimize the customer’s path to conversion
  • Develop UI design and UX assets, including wireframes, prototypes, and sitemaps, for seamless turnover to the development team
  • Manage relationship with web development agency to ensure projects are executed on-time and to design specs 2
  • Manage multiple projects effectively to deadlines
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Marketing and Creative teams

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in web design and UX at B2C e-commerce companies
  • In-depth knowledge and design examples of UX and UI/web design best practices
  • An understanding of mobile-first vs. desktop experiences, including expertise in current internet standards, web browsers, and browser specifications
  • A user and data-focused design mentality, with examples of how user feedback and data insight has shaped design
  • Highly organized; experience working with marketing, developers, engineers to bring design to life
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and industry standard tools such as Figma or Sketch
  • Strong creative skills in layout, typography, and color
  • Strong attention to detail and relentless follow-through in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills; “can-do” attitude and resourcefulness; always willing to go the extra mile for the customer
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
