Want to design the future of tech publishing? We have a very exciting challenge in front of us! Building Hacker Noon 2.0! Please check out our crowdfunding page ($844k raised so far) to learn more about the story of how we’re leaving the medium.com content management system and building our own infrastructure.

Hacker Noon delivers an independent tech blog with honest and unfettered stories and opinions written by real tech professionals, with:

7,000+ contributing writers,

200,000+ daily visitors,

8,000,000+ monthly pageviews

We're is ranked in the top 5K of all websites worldwide and in the top 3k of all US websites by Alexa. We publish ? 20 stories per day from top tech professionals. We were profitable for 2.5 years before our content management system changed it terms.

At Hacker Noon, you won't have months to design perfect solutions wrapped up in neat specs to hand off to the tech team for implementation. You'll need to be scrappy and willing to work fast in collaboration with engineers to understand and adapt to the needs of our authors, editors, readers and sponsors. We embrace continuous improvement. We're also a open startup. In addition to the million of readers who'll see your work live, we'll accredit your designs in stories on Hacker Noon.

This role will work with most of the team (CEO David Smooke, Lead Front End Developer Gian Franco Vitola, and Brand Executive Kien Dao) but report directly to CPO Dane Lyons.

We're looking for initial contract of $3k-5k and open to continuing working together if it works for both parties. Please (briefly) let us know what you can deliver and how your process works in this price range. And sharing past relevant work/examples is helpful.
