Senior UX Designer

Dune London

Responsible for the user experience and development of The Dune Group’s digital products, ensuring the customer experience is optimised in order to improve conversion rate & maximise revenue. 

This role is suited for a multi-disciplinary candidate, ideally with skills in user experience, user interface design and multi variant/AB testing.


Key Responsibilities:


User Experience

  • Scope and create intuitive user journeys based on an understanding of business goals & user behaviour
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys and prototypes optimised for a range of devices and interfaces and use these to gain stakeholder sign off
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions underpinned by analytics and best practise UX heuristics
  • Make strategic design and user experience decisions related to core and new functions and features
  • Take a user centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
  • Create and maintain a Design System for the various Dune Group brands which can be shared and iterated on to maintain brand standards
  • Build good working relationships with the development partner and other third parties to improve functionality and aesthetic of the site in order to improve the design and user experience
  • Support the Digital Design team in creating new campaigns


Onsite Testing

  • Utilise AB/Multi Variant testing & onsite analytics tools to identify and prove theories regarding journey flow and site design changes; learning from non-winning variants and using the ROI of winning variants to build out a backlog of continuous improvement for Dune’s digital products
  • Support the eCommerce Trading team to use the MVT tool to effectively trade the websites
  • Create & maintain a programme of regular user testing, acting as the champion for this within the company sharing the results & proving ROI


Industry & Consumer Research

  • Complete competitor analysis on a regular basis to identify enhancements to the digital customer experience
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry developments, championing design innovation and clearly demonstrating the benefits. Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly regarding accessibility, usability and emerging technologies
  • Work on a cross functional level with other team member to identify improvement opportunities
  • Work with platform & SI partners to maintain a good level of knowledge of the platform roadmap and seek opportunities for growth for the business

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas and solutions to internal teams & 3rd parties
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
  • Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design
  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quick turnaround environment
  • Highly organised and diligent with a capacity to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
  • Experience of manual testing across devices & browsers



  • 3 or more years of UX design experience
  • Experience of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Content Square, Monetate & Google Analytics
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, Creative Cloud and prototyping tools
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript & APIs
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions and a deep understanding of mobile first and responsive design
  • A solid grasp of user centred design, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns
  • Maximum 2 days in Head Office, remaining days to work remotely
