RubiconMD is hiring Product Design Lead

RubiconMD eConsults allow primary care clinicians to gain access to insights from medical specialists, so they are empowered to make better decisions for their patients. A seamless, delightful product experience is critical to engaging clinicians, and we are seeking a mission-driven product design leader to shape this experience. The ideal candidate is a design generalist who is passionate about great user experience and collaborates well across internal teams to enable that experience.

 

Job Summary

• Strategic
• Own the design vision and own all aspects of UX and UI for our web-based eConsult platform
• Create amazing user experiences that are simple, user-friendly and intuitive as well as powerful
• Cultivate a deep understanding of users that informs design and product strategy
• Participate in agile and lean-based processes that promote user-centric and data-driven thinking, cross-functional collaboration, visibility, and predictability
• Work closely with leadership and product, engineering, marketing, sales teams to align around UX strategy and brand
• Provide design thought leadership and advocate for design resource needs
• Support the company’s culture, values, and mission around democratizing access to medical expertise
• Day-to-day
• Conduct user research, from deriving deep insights that inform the product roadmap to leading ongoing usability testing for designs
• Deliver designs for our apps, collaborating with engineering and product to create them and then supporting engineering in implementing them
• Work closely with product to identify design needs and prioritize them
• Enforce the brand and user experience by reviewing user-facing content for example in email campaigns or marketing collateral

Requirements

• 3-6 years UX/UI design experience of a web product
• Portfolio showcasing example processes and deliverables
• Comfort with Sketch, Invision, Adobe suite
• Degree in visual design, art, or related field a plus
• CSS, HTML, and Javascript skills a plus
• Startup experience a plus
• Proactive and passionate about user research, UX, and making a difference in healthcare
