MadProductions is an open-source cryptographic blockchain company building a Layer2 Ethereum chain meant to power applications looking to leverage a modern identity validation platform. MadProductions' MainNet will allow for the mining of MadBytes and minting of MadTokens which need to be managed through an accessible user interface. Validators within the system will also need the ability to act within governance which needs to be easily actioned. We also need to make sure we are able to engage with the crypto community to share and educate users about our exciting new technologies.
As a Senior UX Designer at MadProductions, you will have the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams and utilize your entire range of skills to define, drive and build the future of our product. You will share ideas early and often with stakeholders, partner with leadership to identify and solve complex problems and collaborate with engineers to implement elegant and innovative solutions for challenging and highly technical issues. You will use customer feedback and user research to uncover insights and validate design decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the end-to-end UX design process from the initial discovery to final implementation and follow-through after release
- Partner with leadership and engineers to understand, refine, and define highly technical and complex problems
- Align on business goals and objectives while looking for opportunities to innovate
- Understand the capabilities and technical limitations of the system
- Communicate conceptual ideas and solutions that are backed by research, standards, and best practices, at various stages of the design process
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and usability tests with internal teams and external clients to make informed design decisions
- Use metrics and analytics to assess the success of new and existing features
- Join forces with engineers to maintain, evolve and extend the existing design system
- Deliver high-quality site maps, user flow diagrams, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, etc., that illustrate and communicate the user experience
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience working as a UX Designer or Product Designer
- Expert in using design and prototyping tools (we love Figma!)
- Ability to self-manage and handle competing priorities
- Proven skills in user research, conceptual design, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design
- Comfortable owning all stages of the product design lifecycle
- Skilled communicator who applies an empathetic, user-centered approach to problem-solving
- Deep knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Team player who excels at collaboration and enjoys mentoring other designers
- Detail-oriented and able to iterate quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, exciting environment
Bonus Points:
- Experience working in Cryptography and knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency, etc.
- Experience creating design systems or pattern libraries
- Experience in UX copywriting
- Experience establishing design-related processes and team rituals
- Front End development experience (HTML, CSS, Javascript, GitHub)
- Experience designing enterprise products
- Experience working in an agile environment (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
