We are looking for an experienced, hands-on, Principal UX Architect to drive the User Experience for a new, next generation professional financial platform. 

You are an expert in user-centred design, motivated and enjoy learning new concepts in complex domains. You will apply UCD techniques to understand ION’s customer needs, business goals and technology capabilities to deliver market-leading products which have the highest impact, usability, and success.

•Helping set and drive the User Experience strategy and vision on large complex engagements in line with the Product strategy and business goals

•Being hands-on across the end-to-end user experience design process

•Building strong partnerships and advocating for UX Design across the organisation

•Being the voice of the user in product decisions and being comfortable challenging an “it’s always been done this way” mindset

•Communicating the rationale behind your research and design decisions

•Being central to establishing and evolving our design system, processes and team methodologies

•Collaborating with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers & the rest of the UX team

•Mentoring, guiding and supporting less experienced members of the team

•Helping establish an inclusive, collaborative and creative team culture

•Experience designing professional financial products with significant scope

•Experience leading other UX team members

•Someone comfortable delivering in a complex stakeholder environment

•10+ years of UX experience

•Preferably have a degree to Master’s level in HCI, Design or a related discipline, otherwise being able to demonstrate deep knowledge of the UX practice

•Expertise in user research and design methods to understand the current and propose the future experience

•Very good level of spoken and written English

•Energy and passion
